About this programme

In partnership with The Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway, we are offering FULLY FUNDED Mental health First Aid course.

This ½ day course is aimed at providing learners with the knowledge to identify suspected mental health conditions and the skills to start a conversation and be able to signpost the person towards professional help.

  • Course Syllabus

A range of First Aid for Mental Health related subjects are covered including:

  • What is First Aid for mental health?
  • Identifying mental health conditions
  • Providing advice and starting a conversation
  • Stress
  • Mental health conditions

You will complete practical and multiple-choice assessment. On successful completion, a level 1 Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health will be issued and is valid for 3 years from the date of achievement.

There are practical activities on this course, please wear suitable clothing and footwear
