About this programme


Apply Make a Referral

The course will  cover a range of topics including:

-Emails. How to compose, receive, attach files and send emails to one or various recipients. Using the email inbox, as well as Junk inbox.

-Security. How to best protect yourself against scams via email and telephone. How to know when a website is unsafe.

-Internet. Browsing the internet, copying files from the internet into word documents, accepting/declining cookies on websites.

-WI-FI and Connections. What is Wi-Fi, Mi-Fi and Hotspots? How do they work, how can we use them, where can we find them?

-Microsoft Word. How to use Word and all it’s functions.

-CVs and jobs. Writing and editing CVs using Microsoft Word. Attaching them within e-mails to send to employers.

-Social media. How to create a social media page, how to maintain it, using it for business etc.


This course will take place for approximately 6 weeks10am-12pm, in the Heys room in the Foundry and will begin on Wednesday 3rd July.
