This programme is aimed at people requiring intensive one-on-one support to move forward.   This is especially relevant to those that have multiple barriers to cross before they can begin to address employment.  BRIDGES supports participants to build confidence and self esteem and to develop a more positive outlook of the future.

BRIDGES focusses on each person and what he or she wants to achieve. By identifying each person’s fears, anxieties and personal interests, TRE-Life can help to breakdown barriers and support participants to progress at a pace suitable to each individual.  Support is designed around each persons interests, where possible, as we have found people are more engaged when they are involved in something they like to do. Interests may include, but not limited to crafts, sewing, cooking, baking, making computer games, and making videos.   Initially, each person is paired up with a TRE-Life trainer who has similar interests.   They will work together, one-one-one, until the person is comfortable enough to move on.

Participants will gain an SQA certificate that compliments the activities they have been involved in.

Here's something you should know

Info Box

Employability programmes work a little differently from other courses, especially when it comes to eligibility. For example, someone from Glasgow wouldn't be eligible for a programme taking place in North Ayrshire, and vice versa. Check the Postcode Eligibility tab in the Things to Know section to make sure this programme is open to you.
