SHAX is an independent local charity based at The Crichton, Dumfries. We provide practical help to people facing crisis through poverty and/or homelessness. Alongside this we also provide volunteering and work placement opportunities for local people.
At SHAX we work in partnership with a range of local Support Agencies and personnel to alleviate the hardship of people affected by homelessness through the provision of personal and household essentials particularly to meet crisis need as and when it arises.
Making savvy purchases with SHAX will not only help you to save money on your household and fashion purchases but you will have a positive impact on the environment whilst supporting people in your local community who face poverty and/homelessness.
