AspireWorks is a keywork employability programme that supports post school  young people in South Lanarkshire aged 16-19 (or up to 24 if care experienced) who are looking to access employment, training or further education.

Each young person will have an allocated key worker who will support them throughout their journey.    Initially drawing up an action plan with agreed goals, they will be supported to develop the skills and experience required to reach their chosen destination.

By delivering pre-employment programmes, we will provide them with the skills, qualifications and training to prepare them for their next steps.

Having established partnerships with local employers across South Lanarkshire, we offer work placements in various sectors.   This gives every young person the opportunity to gain key vocational experience while being supported by their key worker.

The programme will offer various opportunities at different stages of the employability pipeline.  This may include:

  • One to one key work
  • Engagement Activities
  • Sector Specific Academies and Training
  • SQA Qualifications
  • Work Placements
  • Vocational tasters and Volunteering.

Here's something you should know

Info Box

Employability programmes work a little differently from other courses, especially when it comes to eligibility. For example, someone from Glasgow wouldn't be eligible for a programme taking place in North Ayrshire, and vice versa. Check the Postcode Eligibility tab in the Things to Know section to make sure this programme is open to you.
