This course is aimed at those looking to up skill, improve their existing CV or improve their chances of employment. You will learn how to provide effective and efficient First Aid in an emergency situation. All learners will have the skills and knowledge required as an Emergency First Aider to enable them to provide safe, prompt, and effective treatment. On the successful completion of this you will achieve a nationally recognised qualification, valid for 3 years. The course consists of 6 hours of practical and theoretical learning in the classroom, including: • The role of the First Aider • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) • Use of a Defibrillator • Examination of Casualty • Recovery Position • Choking • Bleeding • Shock You will learn how to manage an incident from start to the hand over to the professionals.
