This one year programme leads to those participating achieving the “Forest school practitioner” award.
Course includes:
Forest schools ethos and practice, Application of learning theories and holistic development in outdoor learning, Practical outdoor skills, using tools, woodcraft, site surveys, species identification, campfire cooking and woodland management, Leading and managing outdoor learning and forest school sessions, Working in the forest and outdoor environment to become a fully qualified Forest School practioner
Duration: 1 year including 2 x practical block weeks at Barony campus, Dumfries and self-directed study, cost £1100 (possible funding opportunities).
