Let’s Get Employed is an individualised programme designed to allow an individual from all walks of life and ages to have the opportunity to learn, develop and grow within an environment suited to them.
All our Trainee’s work towards an individualised programme that is designed to meet their needs, goals and to break down the barriers that they may face. With programmes designed for young people aged 16 – 24, Parents and Families, no matter the barrier, issue or concern, Let’s Get Sporty look to support people on their journey into employment.
Our Let’s Get Employed programme has the following strands:
Let’s Get Started – a comprehensive induction / ‘onboarding’ process focussing on personal & social development along with relationship building.
Let’s Get Mentored – One to One mentoring support from experienced mentor
Let’s Get Ready – interaction focussing on aspirational career thinking, choices and planning.
Let’s Get Training – A series of transferrable training with episodes including Customer Service, Professional Standards, Safeguarding, Health & Safety, First Aid.
Let’s Get Heard – A support package focussing on Mental Wellbeing incorporating in house support and signposting to resources & agencies.
Let’s Get Living – interaction focussing on Independent Living. Content includes money management, housing, managing around the home.
Let’s Get Driving – Mentored support and signposting to funding to help young person learn to drive or identify alternative travel options
Let’s Get Moving – Mentored supported with job/course search, completion of application forms/cv’s, interview preparation & confidence building for young persons next steps
Our programme is based upon regular communication with the young person to identify any interventions that are required. Interventions range from engagement with specialist services to simplistic interventions such as support with transport/travel.
Our specialist support includes: – Links with local employers & college to support smooth transitions – Links with Mental Health support providers (both off site and on site) – Onsite links with wellbeing providers including fitness, hair, beauty, osteopaths, café/kitchen, showers – Links with training providers to provide relevant training/qualifications e.g., first aid. – Onsite progression opportunities with 8 potential on-site employers
Eligible Groups:Not in Full Time Education, In Receipt of Benefit, Disabled Person, Lone Parent, Homeless / At Risk of Homelessness, Care Experienced, Refugee, Ex-Offender, LGBT+, BME Groups, Substance Misuse, Health Conditions, Long Term Unemployment
Attendance Pattern:Flexible to meet the needs of the individual
