The Long Term Unemployed programme offers paid work to individuals who are
· aged 20-24 and unemployed for at least 6 months.
· aged 25+ and unemployed for at least 12 months.
and who face additional barriers to employment. Each opportunity combines paid (at Real Living Wage – currently £10.90ph) work experience with accredited or certified industry recognised training to meet existing and/or emerging labour market needs.
The aim of the programme is to equip participants with skills, knowledge, experience and training to move towards sustained employment.
Criteria
Aged 20-24 and unemployed for at least 6 months
Aged 25+ and unemployed for more than 12 months
Not engaged in training, education or with another employability provider
Placement Requirements.
· A minimum of 16, maximum of 30 hours per week;
· Entry level position;
· Flexible to meet the needs of the individual, i.e term time, less hours for longer;
· Supernumerary (not substituting, replacing or displacing existing staffing or recruitment)
· Work based rather than home based to ensure that in- work support can be provided;
· Certified/ accredited industry recognised training must be undertaken.
Eligible Groups:In Receipt of Benefit, Disabled Person, Lone Parent, Homeless / At Risk of Homelessness, Care Experienced, LGBT+, Health Conditions, Long Term Unemployment
Attendance Pattern:Varies depending on the needs of the client
