The Pre-Apprenticeship Programme is a 26-week, fully paid, work placement. Before starting the placement, students undertake a 3-week induction. After completing the induction, students will be awarded a Certificate of Work Readiness.
Students are supported by a mentor in their placement who will help prepare them for work. The placement is 40 hours per week and is fully paid.
Upon completion of the 26 weeks, students will be awarded a Land-based Pre-Apprenticeship award (SCQF Level 4) which is accredited by Borders College.
