Our Right Options Parental Engagement Programme is designed to support parents of all ages living in Dumfries and Galloway to explore how they can access training, learning, volunteering and help them progress into the world of work.
Our place-based approach means we can meet parents in their local community, in a safe place and safe space, where they feel comfortable and at a time that best suits their needs – we can meet parents across all Dumfries and Galloway geographies.
As we provide a tailored service and flexible support based around the needs of the parent we can offer a wide range of services that may be based around “warm” discussion’s about the parents aspiration’s, experiences, family networks, or barriers or challenges that they may be facing and how to overcome them; supporting them to explore career, training or learning pathways, or signposting and linking into services offered by our partners. Our programme offers a range of activities and support that can be delivered by Right Options or one of our partners, and includes:
