Voluntary Action Angus aim to introduce young people to new experiences while working to increase their confidence, and ambition and help them realise their potential through volunteering.
Our Youth Development worker will provide support to identify volunteer opportunities for young people aged from 12 to 25 in order to develop positive and engaging activities to help them learn about themselves, their skills, attitudes, values and knowledge.
Our Youth Development Worker will support young people to gain nationally recognised certificates through Saltire Awards where applicable. The Saltire Awards are the Scottish Government’s way of celebrating, recognising and rewarding the commitment, contribution and achievements of young volunteers in Scotland.
Each volunteering journey is different and VAA will work with individuals to create an opportunity that suits their needs.
