We promote childminding as a quality childcare service and support childminders to be the very best they can be. SCMA helps shape policy, share knowledge and guidance, provide professional training and events for our members and the wider childminding community.
SCMA launched the next phase of our ten-year strategy – Changing the Narrative (Stage 2) Childminding | Providing Solutions for Scotland: SCMA Strategy 2024-2027 – to our childminder members from across Scotland on Saturday 11 May 2024 at our annual SCMA Conference.
This stage of our strategy focuses on providing vital solutions for childminding in Scotland, through supporting and expanding our current workforce, working in partnership with families and communities, and use evidence to build consensus for creating impetus for change.
