Looking to make a
referral to a programme?

The Skills Training Network is the one-stop shop you’ve been waiting for.

What is the
Skills Training Network?

The Skills Training Network is a brand new platform that enables careers advisers, work coaches, social workers and other key-workers

to find employability programmes for their customers, and make referrals directly through our site.

How does it work?

The Skills Training Network allows you to browse training programmes across Scotland and make referrals directly through our website.

We know how difficult it can be to keep on top of the ever-changing employability landscape, which is why we created a user-friendly platform that illuminates all the amazing opportunities out there for people.

We recommend that you use the Skills Training Network alongside your customers to help them explore their options.

Searching

Our smart search filters will help you find the right kind of programmes for your customers. Search by geographical location, local authority, age range, eligibility criteria and more.

Training providers upload their own programmes to the site and keep them up-to-date, so you can be sure that the information you’re reading is accurate.

The days of outdated directories are over!

Making referrals

Every programme page has a box with two options: Apply and Make a Referral. The Apply button enables your customers to self-refer if they feel confident enough.

The Make a Referral button is for you – it enables you to make a referral to any programme on our website. The details of your referral will be sent directly to the relevant training provider.

Pretty cool, eh?

Things to know

Every programme page includes a big blue box that will give you more information about the programme’s eligibility criteria, and will answer any questions you might have about the course length, attendance pattern and group size.

All information is accurate but if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
