Fair Start Scotland is the Scottish Government’s employability support service. It is a voluntary service to help unemployed people who want to work, including those with complex issues, find suitable, sustainable, fair work through a person-centred and tailored support approach.
We tailor our services to meet individual needs and circumstances, with a variety of interventions delivered to meet those needs. We recognise that some people need support and guidance to find the right job, but others can benefit from our wider services around health and wellbeing, budgeting, and skills development.
Customers will benefit from:
- 12-month pre-employment support and 12-month in-work support
- One-to-one adviser advice and guidance
- Person-centred support
- Diagnostic assessments
- Tailored action plan and tasks to help you meet your goals
- Health and wellbeing support
- Group and one-to-one workshops
- Better Off Calculations
- Signposting and support from specialist organisations
- Access to over 5,000 resources on our online career portal – the Fedcap Hub. Watch the demo.
