Get Ready for Work is a 12-week placement aimed at 16–24-year-olds. Each young person that is placed on this programme will be expected to carry out 20 hours of work per week within a company. During the 12 weeks the young person will be mentored within the company with a view to securing either employment directly with the company or a Modern Apprenticeship if their placement has been successful.
This is a portfolio-based programme for young people who are actively seeking employment and are eager to work. It gives the applicant a level 4 qualification in Certificate of Work Readiness- this requires you to produce evidence on what you have been working on. This certificate is expected to be achieved during a 12-week placement with full support of an assessor throughout creating a person-centred approach for each applicant
