Invent your Future is focused on improving individuals’ mindsets by working on areas such as self-confidence, communication, morale, low aspirations and breaking cycles of economic hardship by providing a growth mindset essential for acquiring skills in employment. The programme would be aimed at helping individuals achieve their goals by breaking down barriers and allowing individuals to take charge of their future. The programme fits well into Renfrewshire’s stage 2 employability pipeline “support to overcome barriers”.

This programme would be aimed at individuals who are furthest from the labour market.  We are keen to reach individuals living in the more deprived areas of Renfrewshire as we feel this programme will improve individuals’ mindsets and chances of breaking the cycle of economic poverty experienced in these areas.

The curriculum consists of seven core units delivered in person in addition three reinforcement segments provide further depth and application of concepts via the free built in optional elements.

Info Box

Employability programmes work a little differently from other courses, especially when it comes to eligibility. For example, someone from Glasgow wouldn't be eligible for a programme taking place in North Ayrshire, and vice versa. Check the Postcode Eligibility tab in the Things to Know section to make sure this programme is open to you.
