GTG will ensure that all application paperwork is completed prior to posting to the DVLA. Candidates will be issued with their theory test study login details; this will enable candidates to begin their self-study at home. As part of the ongoing support, the central point of contact at GTG can access the portal which will allow us to monitor the candidate progress.
Week 3 – 4
Learners will attend a Mock Theory Session at GTG. The theory revision session will help & support candidates to ensure they are fully prepared for the theory tests. It will give candidates the opportunity to identify any weaknesses & will provide development in their knowledge & understanding of certain elements of the theory tests with our LGV Instructor.
Week 5 – 7
GTG will have dates pre-booked at the local DVSA Theory Test centre. Candidates who have had their licence returned by the DVLA following their medical, will have a date confirmed for their tests to take place.
Candidates will be involved in a maximum 2 week work experience placement. The Work Experience is an integral component of the Programme to assist candidates in getting back into a working environment & to enhance job prospects.
Weeks 8 – 10
Upon successful completion of the theory tests, candidates will be booked to attend 5 days Category C Practical Training at GTG Glasgow. These dates will have already been pre-booked for the candidate. The training ratio for LGV Training is 2 trainees to 1 instructor.
